On July 5th, 2009 one of the shelter kids somehow broke her right front leg while in her cage. She was put in a splint by the shelter Veternarian for several weeks however after 6 weeks there were no signs of healing. The only remaining option was amputation.
On August 27th her leg was removed via laser surgery. The stitches were removed September 10th with very little scarring and she is doing quite well!
